Municipality of Zarraga, Iloilo Hosts LABAN NG LAHI 2018 (Global Platoon Run Challenge)

Amidst the historic landmarks, churches and houses that has spanned for centuries, the municipality of Zarraga, Iloilo will serve as host of LABAN NG LAHI 2018 (Global Platoon Run Challenge). It is an advocacy project organized by Camboayon Sports Events Management wherein proceeds will go to their livelihood programs and their partner organizations across the country. This is also part of the town’s annual week long celebration of the ZARRAGA PANTAT FESTIVAL to be held this December 16-18, 2018.

• PRomote National Unity & Reconciliation

• To help the government address the unending problems of poverty, hunger & armed conflicts
• Implement “Itikan” Love Project to benefit hundreds of thousands poorest household
• Contribute to Marawi Rehabilitation Project
• Archieve OFW Franchising Project

The event is also for peace advocacy, as this aim to welcome groups like the CPP/NPA, MILF, MNLF, CPLA, RPA-ABB, for them to participate in the name of National Peace and Reconciliation. The organization will also be funding "Itikan Love Projects" which is a duck raising program aimed to benefit 1000-2000 of the poorest households per province. This also will hasten to improve and support local and national tourism efforts so people would get to see a quaint Filipino town as its 24 barangays welcome you to Zarraga, one of Iloilo’s charming municipalities.

The ZARRAGA PANTAT FESTIVAL 2018 will also be having a whole day affair (September 16) at the Saintsville Subdivision grounds which starts at 2:30PM (assembly) with a parade of stars starting promptly at 3PM. Celebrities including Ara Mina, Maria Laroco from XFactor UK, “Mr Pastillas” Chard Ocampo, Youtube viral sensations Moymoy Palaboy from GMA, JC Del Rosario, Mitoy Yonting, super popular loveteam #MayWard (Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber), good looking Daniel Matsunaga, Rocksteddy, Ryan Bang and other surprise guests are expected to be there. LABAN NG LAHI 2018’s official car partner is Chevrolet Philippines.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:
LOCAL TEAM

– must have at least three (3) Female runners maximum of 10 foreigners (if there are any) otherwise the team will become a foreign team

FOREIGN TEAM

– must have at least two (2) foreign female runners and one (1)  Philippine Passport Holder Female runner.

– Must have at least three(3) Philippine Passport holder runners (2 males & 1 Female)

TEAM REQUIREMENT

A. Registered Teams                           – Signified but no registration fee payment made yet until August 28, 2018 deadlinen

B. Officially Registered Teams         – Paid Registration Fee before August 28, 2018 deadline

C. Open Registration                          – Registration Fee Payment made after the deadline. This registration is subject to the organizer’s approval for inclusion or not. Disapproval is based on the number of team participants.

FOREIGN TEAM: P3,000.00/member or P99,000.00/team


EVENT REGULATIONS

TEAM BANNER & GUIDON – must be prepared by the organizers and will be fitted to a  weight loaded stick

ABSOLUTE DISQUILIFICATION RULE: Team Banner or Guidon once folded, destroyed or lowered below head level automatically disqualifies the team. This is a no question ask rule

JUDGING CRITERIA

• Shortest Time – 65%
• Team Presentability – 13%
• Chanting – 5%
• Team Work – 9%
• Team Support – 8%
• TIME PENALTIES
• 1-4 runners = 2 mins each
• 5-9 runners = 2 mins each + 5 min team penalty + 1% less (teamwork)
• 10-15 runners = 2 mins each + 10 mins team penalty + 5% less (teamwork)
• 16 runners up = 2mins each + 30 mins team penalty + 5% less (teamwork)

TORN GUIDON OR BANNER is also subject to additional 10 mins team penalty

RACE KIT

For tickets, it is sold at Php 100 each and is available at camboayonsports.com or at the venue. You may also get them at selected Iloilo municipal government centers (LGU’s) as well.
