Unified Support: Former AFP and PNP Chiefs, Nearly 2000 Officers Endorse Querubin for Senate"

In an unprecedented show of unity, former Chiefs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) from the Arroyo, Aquino, Duterte, and Marcos administrations, along with nearly two thousand retired generals, officers, and personnel, have officially thrown their support behind Ariel Querubin's Senate candidacy. The endorsement was announced on July 8 at Club Filipino.

Ariel Querubin, a retired colonel renowned as the most decorated soldier in Philippine history, is widely acclaimed for his exceptional bravery and unwavering dedication to the nation. As a Medal of Valor recipient, the highest military honor for extraordinary courage and self-sacrifice, Querubin's distinguished military career and commitment to public service position him as a candidate capable of bridging diverse political divides and promoting national unity.

In his address, Querubin highlighted the symbolic importance of Club Filipino, a venue steeped in the nation's transformative events. He reminisced about the varied political paths of those present, referencing key historical milestones such as Martial Law, the EDSA revolutions, various coups, and the presidencies from Marcos to Marcos Jr.

"Truth be told, all of us here stood on different sides in many pivotal moments of our nation's history," Querubin remarked. "And yet, we gather here today not as allies of the many political factions but as brothers in arms who have once and always will put our lives on the line for our children, families, and fellow Filipinos. We stand united in our service to the Philippines, in our service to God."

Querubin accepted the challenge to serve the nation anew by running for the Senate in 2025, underscoring the urgent need to tackle corruption, poverty, and inflation. He also stressed the importance of protecting the nation's sovereignty from both internal and external threats.

"We find ourselves at a crossroads," Querubin stated. "The bullying in the West Philippine Sea threatens our sovereignty, while the proliferation of illegal POGOs brings social issues that affect our communities. And the call for the modernization of our military—to secure our nation and uphold our sovereignty with the respect it deserves—is nothing short of urgent and vital for our survival as a free nation."

Querubin also emphasized the necessity of bolstering the Filipino's collective spirit of patriotism and sacrifice.

"My vision is a nation of heroes. Isang bayang handang magsakripisyo at kayang ipaglaban ang Pilipino mula sa mga mang-aapi," he declared.

The overwhelming support from former military and police leaders underscores the broad-based appeal of Querubin's candidacy, setting the stage for a potentially transformative Senate run in 2025.
