City life can get overwhelming, right? That's why I was so excited to visit Camille's Farm in Tanay. Just a short drive from Pasig, it felt like entering a completely different world – a world of quiet mountains, stunning Laguna de Bay views, and wide-open spaces.
Upon arrival, I felt the spot's special call to lay low in life and simply relax. The five-hectare farm revealed itself as a true sanctuary, inviting me to wander among fruit trees and breathe in the fresh air. It was a nice change from the usual city noise.
One of my favorite parts was visiting Bonjing Palace and meeting Bonjing, the African Sulcata Tortoise. I've never seen a tortoise that big! Feeding him was a unique experience, and the caretakers were so knowledgeable and friendly.
Of course, I couldn't resist taking a dip in the pool. It was the perfect way to cool down after a day of exploring. I also enjoyed a leisurely walk around the farm, just taking in the beautiful scenery, including the expansive Laguna de Bay.
And then, there was Daranak Falls! Just a quick 3-minute ride or a pleasant 10-minute walk from Camille's Farm, this stunning waterfall is a must-see. The cool, clear water cascading over the rocks was absolutely breathtaking. It added a touch of adventure to my relaxing farm stay. I spent a good hour swimming and just enjoying the natural beauty.
What really made my stay special was the feeling of having the whole place to myself. It's so rare to find a place where you can truly disconnect and enjoy nature without feeling crowded.
The Casitas Room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a small group like mine, and the Tee House, with its comfortable bunk beds, can accommodate up to 20 individuals. All together, the farm can host a total of 28 guests at a time. The caretakers were incredibly helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. It felt like staying with family.
If you're looking for a peaceful escape, Camille's Farm is truly a gem. It's not just about relaxing; it's about experiencing the simple joys of farm life. Imagine playing a round of mini-golf with a mountain backdrop, or belting out your favorite tunes in a karaoke session under the stars. Kids will adore the play areas, while nature lovers can trek through the five-hectare expanse. And don't be surprised if a friendly chicken wanders by as you explore! Camille's Farm offers a unique blend of relaxation and fun.
